How We Met

It all started in the summer of 2016, a friend of mine from Catoosa had moved to Broken Arrow and became friends with Hunter. One night Jacob called me and added Hunter to the call then after a few minutes hung up so it was just us on the phone. It took us a few years and some heart break to find each other but that’s a different story :)

How I fell in love with Jillian

The first time I realized I was in love with her was when we started spending all of our time together. We hung out at a friend of hers house, and really got to know each other on a much deeper level than we ever had before. We both helped each other through tough times in our lives and that made us only grow closer. The more time we spent together, the more I fell for her. Before I went to basic, I had a going away party, and when the party was over and it was just me and her, we shared a moment together that really gave light to the fact that I was in love with her. But I felt that I had to keep it to myself because I wasn’t sure if she felt the same. But in basic, I had to let her know. And now the rest is history :)

How I fell in love with Hunter

For two years after we were introduced to each other we never met in person. We talked daily on the phone, but it never worked out for us to meet. The first time I finally saw him in person, I knew there was something special about him. We became best friends and helped each other through the toughest times in our lives. We grew very close and started spending a lot of time together. One night we were sitting in my cousins bedroom and he was singing “After Ever After” and I just knew I wanted to love him forever. Once he left for basic a few months later he told me how he felt towards me in a sweet letter. Once I knew he loved me too I knew I had found my forever.

Getting to know us

Jillian- For most of my life I went to Catoosa public schools. There I was involved in marching band, jazz band, concert band, winterguard and FCCLA. Freshman year I was the saxophone section leader during marching band and I was on track to become drum major my junior year. The summer after my freshman year my parents and I made the decision to homeschool, Catoosa was just not a good fit for me anymore and it was time for a change. I ended up graduating high school a year early and then started Rogers State University. Unfortunately working full time and 18 credit hours did not work out too well for me so I decided to take a break from my education and work full time. I am now working as a full time Universal Banker at ANB Bank and plan to continue perusing my career in financial services. Hunter- I lived in Texas for about 12 years before I moved to Oklahoma. I started 7th grade in Broken Arrow and finished high school in Broken Arrow. During high school I knew I wanted to do something greater than myself, so I decided to join the military. After lots of thinking and being in JROTC, I ultimately decided on the Air Force. We’re at Peterson AFB in Colorado Springs, and am working 14:00-22:00 shifts at my base. I plan on promoting to Staff Sergeant, and then putting in an application to be a Military Training Instructor. If my application gets accepted, we’ll move from Colorado to San Antonio, Texas. After I do my time as an MTI, I’ll put in another application to be a military working dog handler which also take place in San Antonio.
