Zao Island
This is our favorite date night activity! If you are coming to town early and looking for a quick and cheap date night this is for you. Mini golf, arcade, and go-karts with a bar on property!
Lincoln Flats
We went here on our first date! Awesome drinks and great food with a really cool atmosphere.
Stacks Bar and Grill
We LOVE Stacks! They have a patio and rooftop bar with a great drink menu and unique dishes. This can be an expensive option and recommend booking a reservation a month+ in advance.
FLUID Coffeebar
The BEST coffee shop in town. Vegan, vegetarian, and GF options are their specialty. We advise looking at their menu ahead of time but the staff is great at answering questions if anything seems intimidating.
Aftermath Cidery & Winery
If you love cider this is the place for you! They also have great appetizer and pizza options.
Meditrina Market Cafe
If you love Mediterranean food then this is a great dinner option! Plan on calling ahead (about 2+ weeks in advance) to make reservations because it is a small restaurant.
Furin Japanese Restaurant & Bar
If you love Japanese cuisine, especially sushi then this is a great option! Gavin LOVES this restaurant and highly recommends it to anyone looking for a good sushi option. They also book up pretty quickly if you do not get a reservation in advance.
Society Collection
Jillian's favorite store in downtown Valpo! If you love plants, crystals, antiques or anything out of the ordinary then this store would be a fun option. Follow Society Collection on Instagram for hours and specials.
Designer Desserts
Cupcakes, cookies and cannolis that people come from all around the area to try! They come in fun flavors but are a pricey dessert option with very few vegan/GF options.
KupKates
Want a preview of our wedding desserts?? Try KupKates! We love her wide variety of desserts including cookies, brownies, macaroons, and cupcakes! She is affordably priced and has GF, Vegan, non-dairy and regular options.
Indiana Dunes National Park
We often love going to the Indiana Dunes National Park! We went on our second date there after going to Fluid for some coffee first. We also recommend going to the Bailey Homestead and Chellburg Farm while in the area, they are a part of the National Park (a great free option).
County Line Orchard
Our favorite fall activities! Great place to pick apples, gourds, and pumpkins. There is a gift shop on site full of fall and Halloween decorations as well as local goods. You CANNOT leave here without apple cider donuts and pumpkin spice donuts! This can be a packed option but plan to go early to beat the crowds!
Valpo Velvet Shoppe
Super fun ice cream options! If the store is not open during October due to weather, you can always pick up a pint at groceries stores in Valpo to bring back to a hotel!
Tomato Bar Pizza Bakery
Gavin's favorite pizza, salad, and sandwich shop in Valpo! There is something for everyone here and it is reasonably priced for the amount of food that you get.
Chipotle Mexican Grill
Our Best Man's favorite place on earth. If you are like him then this can be a reliable go to option!
