Question

Will there be a welcome party?

Answer

Following the rehearsal dinner on Wednesday June 19th, the wedding party is planning to continue the pre-wedding celebration at Pond Farm Brewing in downtown San Rafael from 8:00 to 10:00 pm. If you will be in town the night before the wedding, we would love to see you!!! FYI: The menu includes bar food, beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages. The space is family friendly and kids are welcome! All food orders must be placed by 8:30 pm. Last call for drinks is 9:40 pm. Pond Farm Brewing closes at 10:00 pm, but there are many bars nearby if you are wanting to extend your evening.

Question

Will there be an after party?

Answer

Yes! For those that want to keep celebrating, we are planning to continue the party at Nave's Bar & Grill in Fairfax. Just a 2 minute drive or a 10 minute walk from the venue! We will have late-night food here from Ghiringhelli's Pizzeria. Nave's has a full bar that is cash only, but there is an ATM on-site.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We would love to see our family and friends dressed up with us! We are requesting your best semi-formal attire for the evening. Ladies should wear long, midi, or cocktail dresses. Gentlemen should wear a suit with or without a tie. Please no jeans, t-shirts or sneakers. Women please also refrain from wearing white or a shade that resembles white.

Question

what time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We ask that you arrive to the ceremony 20-30 minutes early as the ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30 pm. If you are using rideshare apps, please plan your rides in advance to arrive on time. To avoid any interruptions in the ceremony, we ask that if you are late to please celebrate with us at the reception instead. If you would like to grab a pre-ceremony drink, a cash bar will be available. The open bar will begin at the start of cocktail hour.

Question

Does the venue have parking?

Answer

Yes, free parking is available at the venue. Guests may leave their cars overnight (if needed), all cars must be removed by 10am on the following day (Friday). There will be someone on site directing cars to the designated parking area. Lyft/Ubers are also readily available in the area.

Question

CELL SERVICE AND WIFI?

Answer

Depending on your provider cell service may be spotty at the venue, but there is wifi if needed for ordering rideshares. The wifi network is Deer Park Villa Guest and the password is welcome! (all lowercase with an exclamation point).

Question

Where is the reception?

Answer

The cocktail hour and reception will also be held at Deer Park Villa directly following the ceremony.

Question

Is the venue outdoors/indoors?

Answer

The ceremony and dinner portion of the reception will be held outdoors under the redwood trees. We will continue the party indoors following dinner, toasts and first dances.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Fairfax, CA weather generally stays between 60–80 degrees for most of the year. The venue will have space heaters, but be sure to bring something to keep yourself warm as temperatures will be cooler in the evening.

Question

When and how should we RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP as soon as you can! The latest we can accept your response is by March 1, 2024. Use the RSVP page found in the navigation bar of this website to complete your response. If we do not receive a response by this date, it will be marked as a "No". We will miss you celebrating with us; however, we must promptly provide the total guest count to the venue, and we cannot accept late RSVPs past this point. We hope you understand.

Question

Are children allowed?

Answer

We will not be including children in the wedding festivities but we have reserved a small cottage on the grounds of Deer Park Villa where your children can stay during the ceremony and reception. We will ensure that there are enough responsible babysitters and that there are games, movies, and/or other activities for them, so please feel free to bring your kids to California and make a vacation out of it. If you are planning on having your children take part in the on-site childcare provided, please indicate how many children you will be bringing when you complete the RSVP questions.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We have reserved a block of rooms (all suite-style!) at the Embassy Suites by Hilton in San Rafael Marin County. Rooms are $189/night. Please book through the link in the travel section to get the group rate. If you prefer to book an Airbnb or VRBO, there are many options in the surrounding areas.

Question

Do you have a registry?

Answer

We do not have a gift registry, but if you were thinking of giving a gift to help us on our way, a cash gift or donation to our honeymoon fund would really make our day! You can find our honeymoon fund by going to the "Registry" page found in the navigation bar of this website.
