We first met on a cold December day in Newton, MA, for the Holiday Hustle 5k. After the race, Andrew didn't join us for brunch, which was hosted by our mutual friends, Matt and Kelly, who were secretly trying to play matchmaker. Fast forward to one year later, Andrew and Jillian were back at the Holiday Hustle, and this time, he joined us for brunch. We both brought granola and yogurt and wore matching Lululemon long-sleeve shirts, which made it clear that we had a few things in common. The holidays passed by, and on January 23, 2016, we went for coffee. Jillian offered to buy coffee since she was late, and surprisingly, Andrew let her pay. At first, Jillian wasn't sure about this guy who made her pay on the first date. However, after three hours of chatting, it was clear that this connection had the potential to evolve into an extraordinary relationship.
