Andrew and Jillian met in the fall of 2009 at the University of Minnesota. Andrew was still settling into the Midwest after his gap year in Pamplona, Spain, while Jillian was getting her sophomore year underway. They were both in the same Global Studies class, but it was when Jillian delivered a classroom talk on AIESEC, a student organization that she was involved in just like her dad was when he was in college, that something sparked. Andrew was intrigued by the organization's mission, but he was also interested in talking to the cute girl who was making the pitch. The two got to chatting, and Jillian must have been pretty persuasive because Andrew joined a couple weeks later. Behind the scenes, Jillian also pushed hard to have him assigned to her team within the club. In the following months and years, Andrew and Jillian's relationship has bounced around, spanning from Minneapolis to New York to Washington, D.C. Not to mention, they've also helped introduce the other to places near and dear to their families: Wisconsin and Guatemala. After more than two years of long distance after college, with Andrew in New York and Jillian still in Minneapolis, the two landed in D.C. towards the end of 2014. This marriage has been a decade in the making, and both of them can't wait to share it with all of you!
