We met the modern way — on Bumble —and on September 9, 2018 we made plans to meet in person at Disney Springs. That first date was filled with laughter, easy conversation, and one very important question. Javier looked at me seriously and said, “I have something important to ask you.” I braced myself for something deep — but instead, he asked, “What’s your favorite dinosaur?” Without missing a beat, I answered, “Velociraptor, of course!” As fate would have it, that was his favorite too. That unexpected moment of shared dino-love sealed the deal. We both knew we’d found someone who matched our sense of humor, curiosity, and heart. From that quirky first question to building a life together, it’s been an adventure— with many more to come.
