We met online on eharmony on August 1, 2023. Xaviar lived in Colorado at the time. I wasn't interested in dating anyone out of state, but he showed up in my feed and messaged me. I ignored him at first, but then I thought I should give him a chance, as maybe there was a reason I was supposed to meet him. We hit it off right away from our first message exchange. We met in person a few weeks later in North Platte, NE. We had a long distance relationship for about 10 months. Then Xaviar moved out to Iowa in May of 2024.

Xaviar proposed on June 21, 2025. We were on an Alaskan cruise. I had finished running a marathon in my last state the day before. We were on an Alaskan cruise to celebrate with my best friend, Mel, and her daughter, Mira. When Xaviar and I got back to our stateroom on the first night after enjoying the nightlife, he proposed. I, of course, said yes!
