Tom got his Bachelor's and Master's degree at Trinity College in Dublin and has always wanted to go back. Well, his dad (a retired explosives engineer) called a few months ago to say that there's a mining conference in Dublin in September and ask if we wanted to come with them. At the time, we were still in the process of deciding on wedding details and didn’t think we could go on vacation AND have a destination wedding. Jill was feeling spontaneous (yes, it does happen) so asked, "Well, what if we just got married there instead?" So Jill called her parents and they were in! So, the planning began....
Please RSVP by September 20 so we can give an accurate head count to the caterers.
We’re so sorry that we gave you bad information. Apparently there’s a big event on October 14 (other than our party) that’s taking up the downtown hotels.
Nope! This is a completely casual get-together. Just family, friends, good food, and good beer (Jill and Tom’s favorite things).
Food will be provided by Live Great Food, a local Eau Claire food truck.
The Thermomix is a very popular appliance in Europe where kitchen space is at a premium. It has a scale! It stirs! It chops! It heats! It cleans itself! After Tom pointed out it would be great for kneading/proofing bread and making caramel, Jill was sold on it too. Feel free to ask Tom about it (but only if you want to spend the next hour watching YouTube videos of it in action).
Yes!
The Brewing Projekt has a large parking lot so no worries there!
Jeff did (are you really surprised?)
Jill will remain “Dr. Jill Kyzer” professionally but will be legally changing her last name to “Kyzer Barkley”
