We met as high schoolers who bonded over our love of the mountains, a shared birthday week, and always being able to find each other on the dance floor. We weren't instant soulmates, but just two teenagers who never ran out of things to talk about or reasons to laugh. For fifteen years, we were the kind of friends who showed up for every milestone and roasted each other relentlessly. We always knew we'd be in each other's lives for the long haul. And then, something shifted. Thanks to perfect timing and Mike's terribly unsubtle cues, the slowest slow-burn in history finally caught fire. The person who had been there for everything became the only person we wanted to share everything with. We fell in love, and we wouldn't change a single chapter of how we got here.
