Things To Do

Just a few of our favorites around town to get you started! UPDATE: We wrote this page pre-COVID, so please reach out to the establishments / museums / parks or do a quick google search to find the most up-to-date information regarding the hours and availability of each.
Holliday Park

Holliday Park

6363 Spring Mill Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46260

This was a favorite spot of the bride's growing up. There's an expansive playground, trails, and open space to explore. It'll be summertime in Indiana, so please check thoroughly for ticks when you're done wandering! (FREE)

Monon Trail

Monon Trail

Monon Trail, Indianapolis, IN

The bride spent many cross-country practices on the Monon in high school, and it remains a favorite for the bride and groom today. This awesome walking / biking / running / blading trail extends through the city with many spots to hop on and off, so search for one near you. (FREE)

Great place for a downtown stroll—and they offer paddle boating and kayaking if you're so inclined. (FREE to walk along the canal; boats cost money)

Soldiers and Sailors Monument

Soldiers and Sailors Monument

1 Monument Circle, Indianapolis, IN 46204

This memorial stands at the center of Monument Circle and is arguably the most popular symbol of the city. If you want to view Indianapolis from the top, you can climb the stairs for a nominal fee (though it's worth noting that it gets HOT up there, so if it's a steamy day you may want to pass on this one).

Newfields

This is Indianapolis's amazing art museum. You can pay to see the art inside and some of the grounds, or you can explore the 100 Acres portion free of charge.

The Children's Museum of Indianapolis

The Children's Museum of Indianapolis
