Optional Community Bike/Walk/Jog along Forbidden Drive

We are organizing an informal community bike ride/run/walk along Forbidden Drive. This ~10-ish mile trail runs alongside the Wissahickon Creek in Fairmount Park and is scenic and shaded (see more information on our FAQs). We plan to ride our bikes together (easy wedding party pace!), and would love anyone who has interest and a bike to join. The multi-use trail is unpaved with a few rougher spots with gravel so a hybrid or gravel bike this thicker tires will be more comfortable though the trail is relatively flat. If you don't have a bike or prefer to walk or jog, we'd love to see you there to say hello and enjoy the trail together.
Wedding Ceremony and Reception

Garden party semi-formal prioritizing comfort and breathability since we will be outside and likely in hotter summer temperatures!
The wedding ceremony will begin promptly at 6 PM. The arboretum will be closed to the public and open to our guests to explore the grounds starting at 5 PM. We recommend arriving at 5:30 PM in order to have time to park and walk to the ceremony location at Silk Tree Grove. The walk to Silk Tree Grove is about 5 minutes so make sure to wear footwear that is comfortable to you. Dinner during the reception will be served family style. Vegetarian options will be available. If you have any specific dietary restrictions or allergies, please let us know.
