March is a great month to visit Arizona! The MLB Cactus League has 15 teams that hold their Spring Training in the valley and all stadiums are within 45 minutes of the wedding venue. Go to the ballpark early to watch the teams warm up and maybe get a baseball signed!
We love taking out-of-town guests to Lake Pleasant Harbor. It's a beautiful lake in the middle of the desert. Be sure to enjoy some great BBQ at Dillions Bayou. Take a free golf cart ride down to the restaurant and enjoy the beautiful views! Entrance fee to get into the marina is required.
One of the most popular activities in Arizona is to hike beautiful trails. Download the AllTrails app for a list of great hikes that can be sorted by difficulty, length and elevation. There are just as many trails for mountain bikers! I'm sure that Eric would be happy to join you!
We highly recommend a visit to Sedona! People from all over the world visit Sedona for it's amazing vistas, spiritual vortexes, nearby wineries, and wonderful restaurants. Eric and I have spent may day trips and weekend getaways in Sedona. Bring a jacket or sweater because it is usually 10-15 degrees cooler than Phoenix!
Phoenix has great breweries! OHSO Brewery is our favorite and they have several locations throughout the valley. They also have great food and distill their own vodka! Now you know why Eric and I love it! It's a win-win, craft brews and vodka. There are great dining areas in Desert Ridge, Cave Creek, Old Town Scottsdale, and Norterra.
