Cole and Jill met in November of 2020, a crappy year ended on a high note all thanks to a mutual friend Anna. As most of you know, Anna is an integral part of our story. She was cutting Cole's superb mullet and asked him how dating in 2020 was going, he simply said "it sucks" and she responded "Actually, I think I might have someone for you!" Insert me, (come on, you know Cole wasn't typing this haha) I got a text from Anna saying "Yo, you ready to date yet?". After she sent a few photos of Cole and weighing my options I opted to give Anna permission to give Cole my number. After talking for a few days we opted to meet up for a backyard date. Four hours later, having discussed all the things you 'shouldn't" on a first date, we were both smitten. I drove home with tears in my eyes, saying "damnit Anna!", confused because I wasn't supposed to actually like Cole. That was it, we both knew that backyard bonfire, country song date was the last, first date we would ever have. We'll forever be thankful to Anna for pairing us two goofballs together.

This is a tough one to simplify. Jill and Cole went to Tennessee for vacation and the first stop was West Virginia. After quite a few small trials and tribulations the moment finally happened that Cole knew it was the right time and place (and Jill didn’t unintentionally ruin it). Standing in the middle of New River having just gotten in to cool off, Jill was getting impatient and hangry. Asking what Cole wanted to do next she stared at the clouds pointing out what clouds looked like what animals and she turned around as Cole said he “found something”. Cole was on one knee, shaking as he pulled out the ring box and a packet of Taco Bell sauce saying “marry me?”. He asked Jill to marry him and she stared at him, slack jaw and streaming tears. She actually was speechless for once in her life and forgot to answer 🤣. Let’s just say it was perfect for them and the answer was yes, duh! Can’t wait to share our day with you and to celebrate!
