We met on a typical warm, sunny Michigan November Monday in 2016. We serendipitously sat at adjacent tables at the classiest establishment on Division Ave. Jill was grabbing dinner with a friend and Carl was showing an out-of-town work associate the locals side of GR. After witnessing a beautiful engagement proposal between Jill and her friend (I was not, I was just returning my friends ring that she dropped under the table) Carl worked up the courage to actually talk to the beautiful woman he had noticed the moment she walked into the restaurant. After a bit of casual conversation, as a dutiful member of the medical community, Carl gave Jill his business card (with cell number just in case of a medical emergency.) Thus began a years-long sequence of in-opportune timing, but never forgetting one-another. They reconnected briefly in 2019, but this was not God’s planned time for them. The next time they spoke was in 2022, when Carl texted Jill. They met for a drink at The Winchester, and had an hours long date, and have been together ever since. They are so excited for their family and closest friends to celebrate their big, long awaited date with them! And the rest, as they say, is history!
