We met the way couples normally do these days- we both swiped right. Ben tested Jill's "nerd cred" and Jill surprised Ben with actually wanting to talk on the phone versus text. The first date started out on a bad foot with Jill running late (is anyone surprised?!) Ben was naturally early and was a perfect gentleman when she rushed in. They ended up talking for hours with Ben even offering to take the last train out and walking hand in hand to Grand Central station. Soon after, both of them knew it was endgame, moving in together in 2019. Though her cousin would say he was their third roommate before then! After sitting on the ring for months during the pandemic (it was literally under the bed) Ben proposed on their 2 1/2 year anniversary with a romantic picnic in the park. They always say you have the movie moment when it's the one and Jill sure did, simultaneously bursting into tears and uttering a profane word which shall not be used here.
