We're getting married!

For a long time, our story started at a “college party.” You know the kind—dim lighting, loud music, and somehow we both just happened to be there at the exact same time. It was a great story… except for one small detail: we never actually met at a college party. In reality, we met on Tinder. (Shocking, I know.) It just took us a few years to admit that our “wild party encounter” was actually a well-timed right swipe. At the time, Jilian was still living in Michigan, so instead of late-night parties, our early days were filled with late-night FaceTime calls. For months, we talked for hours every single night—learning everything from childhood stories to favorite foods to the little details that make someone who they are. By the time we finally met in person, it didn’t feel like meeting a stranger at all—it felt like seeing someone we already knew. And when we did meet, it just clicked. Effortlessly. Naturally. Like the story had already been written—we just needed to show up for it. Not long after, we started dating, quickly becoming inseparable and realizing this was something special. Now, seven years later, we’re finally making things official. And while our origin story may not include a crowded dance floor or a chance meeting across a room, it does include something even better—a connection that started with intention, grew through endless conversations, and turned into a love we’ve been building ever since.
