One day, an elder of the church that Jino attended suddenly asked Jino, “Do you know how the man who was lame suddenly stood up in the Bible?” Jino answered, “Didn’t someone just tell him to stand up and walk?” “That’s right!” the elder replied. “He stood up and walked in the name of Jesus through faith.” Then came the next question: ”Do you want to get married?” Jino laughed and said, “Of course I want to get married! I just haven’t met the right person.” The elder then showed him two pictures of women and asked, “What do you think? Which one do you like?” Jino barely glanced—he saw them for less than three seconds—and smiled politely, not thinking much of it. What he didn’t know was that, in that fleeting moment, he had just been shown a picture of his future wife. A few months later, Jino had the opportunity to visit Seattle. At the encouragement of a church deaconess who said, "What do you have to lose?" he also decided to meet Grace—the same woman whose photo he had barely glanced at months earlier. Jino reached out to her, saying, “I’m planning to visit. Maybe we could meet up if you are okay.” To his surprise, Grace offered to pick him up at the airport. Jino thought, 'Who picks up someone they’ve never met before?' It felt a bit overwhelming—but he agreed. Although they had exchanged messages for about a month, Jino still had no idea what Grace looked like, what her voice sounded like, or what she did for work. And then—there she was. The first things he noticed were her bright smile and her eyes. She was smaller and quieter than he had expected, but their conversation flowed more naturally than he could have imagined. There was one thing that caught Jino's attention: Grace kept staring at him with wide, curious eyes. On that day alone, Jino asked numerous times, “Why do you keep looking at me like that?” She just replied with either, “I can’t believe that you are a real person," or “It’s so strange that you are actually here.” Jino wondered to himself, 'Is that really how people look when they're intrigued?' But he felt something calm and clear, so he decided to see her again. After their first meeting, Jino decided to spend more time with Grace—and the more time they spent together, the more everything just felt right. Grace was thoughtful, humble, kind, and genuine in a way Jino had never seen before. Even without doing anything special, being with her brought him peace and joy. They found themselves in sync—often understanding each other without needing to say a word. The more time they shared, the more Jino realized: Grace was the person he had always dreamed of. It felt as if the whole world was quietly guiding him toward her. For the first time, he felt that maybe the purpose of his life was Grace. Before long, Jino was spending more time in Lynnwood than in Omaha. And soon after, they promised to spend forever together.
