Our love story

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.. in 2021 to be exact, there lived a guy named Josh. At the time, he was living in North Carolina when he was scrolling on Facebook and noticed a beautiful lady by the name of Hannah Henry. He immediately added her on Facebook. A few days passed and he was still thinking about the lovely Hannah and decided to message her. The message read “Hey Hannah, I hope you are well and had a blessed thanksgiving!”. Cheesy? Yes. Very, but little did he know.. that one message would change both of their lives forever. They soon went on the first adventure which was to the Biltmore in Asheville, North Carolina. Since that day, they never looked back. March 10th 2022, the 17 hour drive from Bristol, Virginia to Houston, Texas was made. A vehicle packed full with not only luggage and bags, but Hannah, Lilly, Arco (the snake) and Josh. A very long drive ended with a first time trip to Buccees where the true love for Texas began. This date was also the day they started dating. This time was swiftly cut short by the departure of Hannah, as she still lived in Virginia. For the next 10 months, they proceeded with their relationship as long distance, seeing each other every few months. Until, the time came, in January of 2023 when Hannah would make the move to Houston and become a true Texan. The year of 2023 was certainly an adventure, starting off by adding our next family member Rudy (our Tortoise). He was the first of many that year. The couple moved out of the big city and into the smaller town of Magnolia, on the Northwest side of Houston. This home was your typical cookie cutter home that they rented for the first year of Hannah’s Texas experience. The couple had the great idea to add 5 new chickens to the home, keeping them a secret as best they could remembering this was in fact an HOA neighborhood that did not allow chickens. The couple had a some visitors come to celebrate the move, parents, family, and a few friends. They also hosted their first Thanksgiving this year. As the year of 2023 went on, another animal was added. Kioki (the leopard gecko) was adopted, and by the end of the year the animal count went from 2 to 9. 2024, what a special year. Their lease in the previous rental house had began to run out, so they decided to invest in a home to call their own a few minutes down the road with a little extra land. Now we all know, more land equals more animals and that is the first thing Josh insisted. They quickly turned their 5 chickens into 26 chickens, including one, Ruby, that came with the house. Not only did they buy a house and get a lot more chickens in the year 2024, they also got engaged. The engagement had to be worthy of “Texas” so they got engaged in a field with as many Blue Bonnets (The state flower) as there are stars in the night sky. So the wedding planning began. The year was full of venue hunting, photographer/videographer Zoom meetings, etc. As the year went on they ended the magical year with 3 more animals. 2 Poison Dart Frogs that were purchased for Josh's animal room, and a rescued pig named Slim Piggins. Which leads us to 2025.. wedding year!! So, this is where the story ends.. for now. August 31st will be here before we know it; we can’t wait to share this special day with you!!
