Our love story started not in a crowded room or a love at first sight, but in a virtual world, where pixels danced and alliances were formed. Who would have imagine that a girl from Canada would end up with a guy from USA? New Year's Holiday, 2021 - We first met on a game called "Mobile Legends: Bang-Bang", where Michael played as carry damage dealer, and I as a supportive tank and mage. We became virtual game friends for 3 months, until late-night gaming sessions turned into late-night conversations, and our in-game teamwork blossomed into a real-life connection. From friendly banter to shared laughter, we discovered a deeper bond beyond the game, eventually taking our first 'real-world' steps together. December, 2021 (Ontario, Canada)- The first time we met in person was filled with so much excitement and anticipation. After all the time spent talking online, it felt surreal to finally be face-to-face and hear his actual voice. There was a mix of nervousness and joy, but the moment we met, everything just clicked. It felt like we’d known each other forever, even though it was our first time together in real life. Unfortunately, 2 weeks is all we have and he has to go home, thus, back to long distance relationship. July-August, 2023 (California, USA) - I visited him in California where I finally met his awesome family. For two weeks, we travelled to Los Angeles and San Francisco, enjoyed California's delicacies and food, and most especially, spent the most our our time together. April 27, 2024 (Alberta, Canada) - Michael finally asked for my hand in marriage right after we arrive at the house from the airport. It was a moment I’d been dreaming of, and when it happened, everything felt so right. It was a moment filled with love and pure emotion, everything felt so perfect. It was simple yet meaningful, and in that moment, time seemed to stand still. I’ll always remember how my heart raced and how his words made me feel like the luckiest person in the world. We spent two incredible weeks traveling through the Rocky Mountains of Banff and Jasper, and even got to experience our first Northern Lights. But, as always, we had to part ways again. The long-distance challenge returns, but we're so close to the finish line now. Now, as we stand on the precipice of forever, we're excited to level up our love story, no longer just teammates in a digital world, but partners in life, my forever DUO. <3
