Gianna moved to Baltimore in September 2020, right after college, for a new job—alongside her best friend. It was the middle of COVID, a brand-new city, and with everything shut down, making friends felt almost impossible. Jeremy and Gianna actually went to the same high school and shared a mutual friend group, but never really talked much back then. In February 2021, they reconnected at a friend’s house from high school, where Gianna learned Jeremy was also moving to Baltimore for a job in March 2021. They talked for a while, and Gianna casually told Jeremy to reach out if he needed any help apartment hunting—still not knowing him very well. Once Jeremy officially moved to Baltimore, Gianna invited him over for dinner with her roommate. She still laughs thinking about running to the Italian market, grabbing fresh pasta and sausage, and nervously hoping the meal would turn out okay. That night changed everything. From that dinner on, it was Gianna, Jeremy, and her roommate—quickly becoming the best of friends and slowly building an entire friend group together in a brand-new city. As their friendship grew, people constantly asked if there was something more between them. Gianna always said, “He’s like a brother to me,” and Jeremy would say the same—they were just too good of friends. Their friendship was strong, effortless, and full of laughter. Jeremy could make Gianna laugh like no one else ever had, and being together always felt easy and fun. There was something there, but neither wanted to risk losing such a meaningful friendship. As time went on, that connection only deepened. One night, Jeremy finally asked Gianna what she thought about everyone saying they’d be good together. Gianna nervously shrugged, looked down at her phone, and avoided the question completely—terrified of what it might mean. After two incredible years of friendship, in June 2022, they realized what everyone else had seen all along. Their connection was too special to ignore. On August 21, 2022, after a Sunday spent going to church, grabbing dinner at a diner, and watching old family home videos from both of their childhoods, Jeremy asked Gianna to be his girlfriend. And here they are—three years later—about to get married. Together, Gianna and Jeremy built a life in Baltimore, sharing a home and creating the foundation of their relationship. In October 2024, they followed their hearts back to their hometown to be closer to family. On July 18, 2025, Jeremy asked Gianna to marry him in Deep Creek, Maryland, surrounded by their closest friends and Gianna’s brother. He surprised her even more by having her dad, along with Jeremy’s mom and dad, there to witness the moment—making it a perfect and unforgettable engagement. As their relationship continued to grow, Jeremy’s mom shared a moment that made everything feel even more divinely timed. She had been hesitant about Jeremy moving to Baltimore at first, but once Gianna and Jeremy began dating, she realized that this was exactly why God had led him there. During a visit to Baltimore, she noticed a photo of Gianna’s mom, Diane, who had passed away, in Gianna’s bathroom. She paused, looked at the photo, and quietly said, “Diane, please let Gianna pick Jeremy.” It was a powerful reminder that this love story was always being guided by something greater. At the heart of their relationship is an unshakable friendship. They truly are best friends who love spending time together, no matter what they’re doing. Family and friends mean everything to them, and they take great pride in the relationships they’ve built together. They believe God placed them in each other’s lives at exactly the right time, and they are so excited to celebrate this next chapter with all of you.
