We're Getting Married!

Our story started in 2019, our freshman year of college. We planned to hang out one afternoon, which ended up getting canceled by Blake. It was near the end of freshman year, which meant Jewels was heading back home to Martinsville and Blake was staying in Evansville. Fast forward to Fall 2019, Jewels was in search for a date to her sorority date party. Her friend Ross was over at her apartment and started naming off his fraternity brothers. He mentioned Blake Chandler, who Jewels had a crush on and instantly messaged him. Blake responded back with, “Tell her to text me.” The two began texting and decided to finally hang out. Blake and Jewels' first date was in the USI apartments, where they ended up just taking a nap together. Jewels was exhausted from the long day of formal recruitment and staying up until 4am getting her belly button pierced. Ever since that first date, Blake and Jewels have been inseparable. They both attended each others sorority and fraternity date parties that fall semester. On October 18, 2019, Jewels and Blake went on a date to Long Horn Steak House. After the date, Blake proceeded to ask Jewels to be his girlfriend. Which she responded with an enthusiastic, “YES!” Blake and Jewels experienced the rest of college by each others' side. With late night homework session to partying at the fraternity houses, the two were always with each other. A few months before graduating, the two were deciding where to search for their first big kid jobs. They both ended up landing positions in Tampa, Florida. On June 11, 2022 the two packed up their lives and moved to their first apartment in Tampa, Florida. They now have lived happily together for 2 years and have had the most amazing experiences together. On May 18, 2024 during their family trip to Hanalei Bay, Blake got down on one knee and proposed to Jewels. She immediately said, “YES!” Since, Blake and Jewels have started planning their wedding.
