‘Have you seen the one I love?’

For many who do not know, Jeune translates to Young in English. ‘Jeune at Heart’ is not only a perfect way to describe Jamalh and Terry, but it means they were meant to be together. Their journey barely started in 2015 at a friend’s game night, when everyone introduced themselves, but they never spoke to each other. Fast forward to 2016, where Terry went to walk Stone Mountain with some friends. Jamalh met them in the parking lot and as she tried to remember where she knew him from, he reminded her. Soon the group made it back down the mountain tired but ready for food. Because it was free to park a few blocks away from the mountain, Terry parked there. Jamalh then offered to drive her and her friends to her car. This kind gesture not only made Terry further notice his character, but soon thereafter a true friendship began. They began to hang out with friends, go on plenty of walks, and share countless funny memes on social media. This led to Terry saying those three special words, ‘I like you’. He was far from surprised considering how she always replied to his text and DMs right away. This soon led to a blooming crush and the couple was soon dating officially in 2018. Things were great until they were not in 2019, when the couple decided to take a step back and no longer date. They focused on themselves and their goals. Terry began a new job and Jamalh continued his work, secretly plotting a way to get her back. His plans worked when they began dating again in September of 2020 with a view to a 3-fold cord rather than just circumstances. Focusing on what they had rather than what they did not have. With Jehovah’s word, family and friends’ support, and no help from the pandemic, it was their time. Jamalh asked to secure his spot on 6/27/2021 and Terry accepted. The words found at 1 Corinthians 13: 1-8a have been a biblical point to help them during cloudy days and a source of joy on sunny days. They are proof of that. -JeuneAtHeart
