Joey and Jetel met on November 7, 2023, while attending Airman Leadership School. They were in the same class and quickly became friends. Just a few days into the course, Joey and some classmates helped Jetel move into her new apartment. While they were there, Jetel’s dog, Dior, instantly took a liking to Joey and stuck by his side the entire time. That night, Jetel sent Joey a picture she had taken of him and Dior — and from there, the two began texting. The rest, as they say, is history. A few months later, they officially became a couple. Though long distance came with its challenges — with Joey stationed in Florida and Jetel in Texas — their connection only grew stronger. In April 2025, Jetel moved to Hawaii, and even with the time difference, they remained dedicated to one another. On August 3, 2025, Joey proposed to Jetel — the easiest “yes” of her life. Now, they look forward to beginning their next chapter together and can’t wait to celebrate their love surrounded by family and friends.
