Jesus and Megan first connected on Hinge on October 28, 2022. They went on our first date shortly after, to an Italian restaurant called Luna Rossa. From the very beginning, everything felt so natural, like they had been best friends in another life. Soon after, their adventures together began. One of the first was a road trip to Joshua Tree, where they unplugged from technology and spent time enjoying nature, talking for hours, and playing card games. It was there they started to truly connect on a deeper level. After that trip, their bond only grew stronger. On January 16, 2023, with the blessing of Megan’s parents, Jesus planned a heartfelt surprise to ask her to be his girlfriend. He laid out a trail of candles from the front door to the living room, where he stood waiting with a bouquet of flowers and a handmade poster that read, “Will you be my girlfriend?” She said yes! Jesus always knew Megan was his person in every lifetime. With the blessing of her parents and grandparents, he began planning the ultimate proposal during their upcoming trip to Kauai. On December 1, 2024, during a sunset at Shipwrecks Beach in Kauai, Jesus nervously practiced what to say for 30 minutes in the bathroom. But in the moment, he forgot it all. With tears in his eyes and love in his heart, he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. She said yes!
