we're getting married!

We attended the same school for three years and had no idea the other one existed. We only met by chance and through mutual friends during our last year of high school. We hit it off over a discussion about phones and how the other one had no clue how it worked even with a diagram provided. Since then, there was not a day that we did not have lunch together, sit together, attend school events and friend gatherings together. We were inseparable, nothing could keep us apart and well the rest is history! Here's to 8 years and counting of love, laughter and amazing memories with my best friend. ___________________________________________________ Asistimos la misma escuela durante tres años y no teníamos idea que existía el otra. Solo nos conocimos por casualidad y amigos mutuos durante nuestro último año de escuela secundaria. Nos llevamos bien sobre una discusión de teléfonos y cómo el otro no tenía ni idea de cómo funcionaba, incluso con un diagrama provisto. Desde entonces no hubo un día en que no almorzáramos juntos, nos sentamos juntos, asistiéramos a eventos escolares y reuniones de amigos juntos. Éramos inseparables, nada podía separarnos y el resto es historia. Aquí están 8 años y contando el amor, las risas y los recuerdos increíbles con mi mejor amigo.

The time had finally come, after months of planning, I was ready to pop the big question. This year we decided to take a 3 day trip to Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear. It was our second day and the plan was to explore Big Bear and find a place to hike. We hiked to the top of a hill and began to build a snowman. While building the snowman, my mind was running, heart pumping, every step I took melted the snow, because this would be the place I ask. We finished the snowman and after a few pictures with the snowman, I got down on one knee and asked her to marry me. After what felt like the longest minutes of my life she finally said "YES!" and we were engaged. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. _____________________________________________ Por fin había llegado el momento, después de meses de planificación, estaba listo para hacer la gran pregunta. Este año decidimos hacer un viaje de 3 días a Lake Arrowhead y Big Bear. Era nuestro segundo día y el plan era explorar Big Bear y encontrar un lugar para caminar. Caminamos hasta la cima de una colina y comenzamos a construir un hombre de nieve. Mientras construía el hombre de nieve, mi mente estaba corriendo, bombeando mi corazón, cada paso que daba derretía la nieve, porque este sería el lugar donde preguntaba. Terminamos el hombre de nieve y después de algunas fotos con el hombre de nieve, me puse de rodillas y le pedí que se casara conmigo. Después de lo que parecieron los minutos más largos de mi vida ella dijo "¡SÍ!" y estábamos comprometidos. Estamos muy emocionados de celebrar este próximo capítulo en nuestras vidas con ustedes.
