I met Olivia when I was 10 about to be 11, I had just moved to Pomona. The transition was rough and I found myself friendless. Luck for me she was also new to this middle school because she had been at the same elementary up until 6th grade, so for 7th grade she was coming to the middle school. Her and I both had similar styles and an obsession with putting shoe laces in our hair, does anyone remember, the ones from the early 2000's. Anyways we immediately became inseparable we both loved Hello Kitty, Sketchers, and were at the start of our boy craze. And with the exception of the shoe laces int he hair not much has changed. We are still inseparable, have similar styles, and continue to be each other wing women. I couldn't walk down the aisle without her!!! BFFL!!!

I have known my bestfriend for over 12 years. I met Michael, AKA Fez, in 2010 during that summer of post high school and right before the start of my bachelors degree. During that summer they played a lot of soccer, going to be BBQs, and hanging out a lot with the rest of their group of friends. As the years passed on we became closer to each other and continued to spend time together watching sports, playing video games, traveling together, partying, and celebrating. We have been a major part in our lives and have seen each other reach many milestones. Through thick and thin we have been there for each other as brothers.

My Lizard, the middle child, the wild one. I was an only child before you, but I didn't know how lonely I was until I had you. You became my greatest defender when were were little, I was always so scared to defend my self when kids would bully me but you always had my back. I can still hear you yelling "Run, Esha RUN!!!" after you had pulled the girls hair that had just moments earlier pulled mine. Or how you and I did full on Selena performances in the living room for my mom and dad, and anyone who would watch. I have had the privilege to grow up with you and tried to be the best example and you have followed and forged your own path in life and for that I love you so much and couldn't get married without you there like all the other times in our life.
Josh Guerra

I met Josh in 2010 at Cal Poly Pomona. We were both part of an engineering club and spent lots of Saturdays in the engineering laboratory together. Eventually Josh joined Hermanos Unidos and asked me if I would like to join. I first thought "what is this thing, is it a frat? A cult?" It ended up being a strong brotherhood of people with a similar mindset as Josh and I. We bonded over lots of conversations, social events, community service events, CrossFit...etc. Josh has also been a huge inspiration to me with his drive to better himself as a man and overall human being. In these last 10 years we have continued to push each other to do better, he is one of reason why I decided to go back to school and get my MBA. He is truly someone to have at your side in any situation.

My booger, the baby. I remember every detail of the day you were born. We had gone to get ice cream the day before and we were planing Sandy's 6th birthday party, when my mom woke us up and said she was going to the hospital because you were about to be born. I was 10, and I was so excited. I remember how inpatient were we just wanted to see you the moment you were born. I have always felt like you were my baby, the 10 year age gap, it does that. But now that we are older our sisterhood has changed, now I see you as an adult and I am excited for all of your endeavors. I am proud to see how confident you are in who you are, and following your goals and learning from all of your life experiences. You complete the package always and cant wait to have you there to make sure I look my best!!!
Angel Mendoza

Angel and I met also through Hermanos Unidos. We met through a very unconventional way. Angel can retell the story if you ask him. Angel and I have been through a lot of experiences together. We worked together on campus for the maintenance department. We worked out together and cooked together. We even had similar classes together when Angel was in the manufacturing engineering program where we both received our "eye of efficiency". Angel has always had a great sense of humor, but at the same time he also has some strong values. I admire his passion for others and life in general. I am excited to have him at our side for this momentous day.

I met Mayela in the girls locker room in high school sophomore year. We were getting ready for P.E. and I was sitting on a bench when from the other side of the lockers this girl walks by with her shorts up to her chest doing what I thought was an Urkle impersonation. I though wow she's weird, and later I would be introduced to her and I'd soon realize her passion for STAR WARS, spunk for life, and big heart. And we would be destined to be the biggest nerds bffs, we laughed at the periodic table together, helped each other with statistics, and eventually she would even teach me to drive!!! Thank you for being the brave person who got on the freeway with me I am forever grateful. And I love that our friendship has lasted through all of these stages in life!!!
Arturo Diaz

Arturo and I met at Cal Poly Pomona through Hermanos Unidos. Arturo came into the organization 2 years after me. We both hit it off right away by sharing similar views and interests. We have been through a lot of experiences together like road trips, concerts, parties, and friend events. We have been there together tough times and amazing times. He is someone that is extremely loyal but also blunt to tell you how it is. I see him as a great person that is charismatic and full of passion. He's another close and special human being that I consider as a brother.
