Maid of Honor
Sarah has been by my side since the day I was born. My older sister, my original best friend, the singer to my piano. She has given me constant support, unconditional love, and the sweetest dog niece in the world. My childhood wouldn’t have been the same with our made up outdoor games, church duets, and brightly colored eye shadow to match our shirts. I don’t know where or who I would be without her.
Matron of Honor
Melissa has truly been my best friend/cousin since birth. From begging our moms to let us have sleepovers, to late night McDonald’s frappes, to college roommates—there is no task we haven’t conquered together. I was fortunate enough to be a bridesmaid in her beautiful wedding, and there was no question when it came to making this sweet gem my matron of honor.
Bridesmaid
Vanessa is my future sister in law and my go-to for questions about hair, makeup, and fashion. She played a major role in making me look amazing on the night Jesus proposed to me. She never lets me go long without watching a movie or going shopping together, and I am so grateful for the amount of quality time I get to spend with her. I truly cannot wait to be able to call Vanessa my sister.
Bridesmaid
Cassidy has been one of my best friends since high school. I probably spent more time my senior year at her house than my own. We watched YouTube, ate late night snacks, and made ridiculous inside jokes that we still quote to this day. We make sure to never go more than a couple months without seeing each other, and she is always my breath of fresh air when life has gotten overwhelming. I am so grateful for her friendship.
Bridesmaid
Jessica is the yin to my yang. She is the reason I stayed at Appalachian State instead of dropping out and moving closer to home. She is my fellow tea-drinking, candy-eating Friends-loving cat mom. She is one of my absolute best friends and I cannot believe that I’ve only known her five years, because our friendship feels like a lifetime. I can’t imagine late night ramen runs and Grey’s Anatomy marathons with anyone else.
Bridesmaid
Diana is also my future sister in law and has become my go-to for texting when I need to practice Spanish. She has put up with me being an annoying video game sidekick, and sings at the top of her lungs with me on long road trips. She can always make me laugh by saying something ridiculous or quoting inside jokes. I am so grateful that she’s in my life and cant wait to be able to call her my sister in law.
Bridesmaid
Sadie is my little sister, my fellow Harry Potter lover, and my absolute literal mini-me. She is resilient, sensitive, and has such a huge heart. Sharing bunk beds with her for seven years may have created many fights, but it also made me miss her so much when I went to Boone for college. We have become so close in the last few years, and I am so grateful to live close enough to catch up with her whenever I feel like it. She may drive me crazy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Best Man
A man wise beyond his years, and as full of energy as a sixteen year-old. When the difficult decision of choosing a best man came up, Ira stood as the prime example of a best man. Ira is a friend, mentor, and guide whom I look up to. He has conviction for his ideals, something that I envy. Ira is one of the few men that isn’t ashamed to say “I don’t know, but I am willing to learn.” I hope to be as savvy as him one day.
Groomsman
A man who everyone needs as a friend. Dave is worldly, talented, and savvy. He is someone that never gives up. Dave is smart and cunning. He is someone that makes a great rival, no matter the subject. Dave is the friend that I see myself in, and makes me better for it. He is someone that makes me strive for my fullest potential in everything I do.
Groomsman
A man who supported me and my crazy ideas, who was willing to share in my successes, and in my failures, that is the kind of man Azzell is. Azzell completes the Three Musketeers. The smartest, and coolest man I know. Azzell is my younger brother in age, but my oldest in experience. He has never let me stray from my path, despite my complaints. Azzel has been with me through thick and thin, and everyone should be as lucky as me to have Azzell as a best friend.
Groomsman
A man who knows humility. Sam is someone who learns from his mistakes. Someone that will always do right by his word and morals. He’s a friend that I can always trust. Sam is someone that will go the extra mile every time. He is a man that I would want beside me when a job needs to get done. A rock in the rapids.
Groomsman
This man is a true friend. Someone you can count on, and someone that I can be proud to call a friend. Chris has been with me from day one of my time when my family made the decision to move to North Carolina, and has stood by me to this day. Fellow Houstonian, great soldier, man with impeccable taste, my brother from another mother, my fellow musketeer, are a few things I can say about my best friend. Not time or distance will change it.
Groomsman
A great man, musician, gamer, and friend, that’s Will. When he’s not showing me his skills at everything musical, he’s showing me up with his gaming skills. Will is a truly generous man, who always comes through for me and his friends. He follows my same philosophy of going with the flow, but always striving for first place. Will is a role model that I can always look to.
Groomsman
This is my older brother (unrelated). He causes me grief, picks on me, he always wins when we wrestle, and all around makes me feel like a younger brother. He doesn’t pull any punches, and will always do what he says. I can depend on him. Myles is a man who inspires me to try my best, even if it is only to get one up on him.
