We’re Getting Married

We met in 2017 at Lincoln High School when we were sophomores. At first, I had heard about him and I was not a fan. Meanwhile, the moment he saw me, he was already in love. A few weeks later, he asked me out… and of course, I said no. We had just met, and I was not impressed yet. But he didn’t give up. Instead, he kept bothering me in the most persistent way possible until we became friends. Somehow, between all the talking, laughing, and his constant presence, he finally won me over. When he asked me out again, I said yes and clearly, that decision worked out pretty well. We grew up hand in hand, learning who we were while choosing each other every step of the way. Through every joy and hardship, we built not just a life, but a family. Our three children are the heart of our love and the greatest proof of what we’ve created together. After nearly a decade of laughter, growth, and unwavering commitment, we’re ready to promise forever and finally say, “I do.”

A few days later, I asked her out and she said no. Clearly, I wasn’t getting the hint. So I decided to stick around, talk to her every chance I got, and slowly win her over by becoming her friend. Somewhere between all the conversations, laughs, and me refusing to give up, she finally said yes. That was the moment everything changed. We grew up together, choosing each other through every joy and hardship, and building a life and a family we’re incredibly proud of. Our three children are the greatest reminder of how far we’ve come. After nearly a decade of love, growth, and persistence, I get to marry the girl who stole my heart in high school and who I never stopped choosing.

What began in a high school hallway in 2017 with one very confident crush and one very unimpressed response, slowly grew into a love built on friendship, laughter, and choosing each other every single day. Through growing up side by side, facing life’s joys and challenges, and building a family we are endlessly proud of, we’ve learned that true love is about persistence, partnership, and always being there for one another. After nearly a decade of memories, adventures, and three amazing children, we are ready to celebrate the journey that brought us here and to promise forever with all of our hearts.
