San Tan Mountain Regional Park is 10,000+ acres of Sonoran Desert beauty ranging in elevation from about 1,400 feet to over 2,500 feet. Goldmine Mountain rises in the northern portion of the park. Along the trails, vegetation will change from creosote flats to dense saguaro forest. Various types of wildlife may be seen, including reptiles, birds, and mammals. There’s also a nature center!! The hike has smooth footing and low elevation gains making it an easy trail! We suggest you do this in time to see the cityscape at sunset! It will blow you away!
