Best Man
K'ylon (and most of the other groomsmen) is what I call a brother from another mother. We first met in 6th grade and a mutual love of sports began to form an unbreakable bond. He is one of the most reliable people I know, but that sense of responsibility doesn't get in the way of him having a good time.
Maid of Honor
Susana, Susie, or DJ Su to a few. To know her is to absolutely love her, and no, I'm not exaggerating. I've been calling her my bestie for the restie since 2006 but it feels so much longer. While she may have sisters of her own, I will always claim her as one and I have the Facebook status to prove it.
Groomsman
I met Julian during the summer going into 7th grade when he moved down to Georgia from New Jersey. I am forever grateful for the chance to get to know him as I know life wouldn't be the same without him. He is an all-around great person who has mastered the art of working hard and playing hard.
Matron of Honor
Grace is the best mother, sister, daughter, and cousin-not-cousin I could ask for. Growing up with Grace was nothing short of bliss, from conning our parents into countless sleepovers, and never-ending hearts to hearts I couldn't have chosen a better gal to grow up with.
Groomsman
I first met James in middle school. A shared love of Duke Basketball helped forge a unique friendship that has carried on to this day. One of the freshest people I know and one of the first to teach me about style (even if the lessons didn't always stick).
Bridesmaid
Abbi is the best kind of friend you could ask for. Distance knows no bounds, every time we talk it's like no time has passed at all. I couldn't imagine not having my vacation-loving, oreo scarfing, nap-loving, master procrastinating best friend on my special day. I never would have survived middle and high school without you, nor would I want to.
Groomsman
Taz and I have known each other since elementary school. A sensitive soul who I know would do anything for me (and I for him). Even when he takes some time for himself to focus on his grind, the love never goes away with him.
Bridesmaid
Jimena is many things, but I first knew her as a kickball QUEEN in elementary school. She is fearless, and quite frankly a bad*ss never scared to travel and figure things out on her own. She knows the way to my heart is by food, specifically Peruvian food, SPECIFICALLY her mom's fried yucca.
Groomsman
My new little brother; Matthew is a hard worker with a bright future ahead of him. The love he and Whitney have for each other has been a beautiful thing to witness and it brings me comfort knowing Whitney will always have someone there for her. He has always made me feel welcome and I am happy to have him become family.
Bridesmaid
My time at UGA was many things, and I'm so glad it was the start of so many beautiful friendships. I am so fortunate to have gained a wonderful, caring, hilarious friend like Lily. It feels like we've known each other forever and forever is just what we"ll do.
Groomsman
Corbin is technically my cousin, but I feel much closer than that label to him. We have been hanging out with each other since he was born in '95. Whenever we get together, we never miss a beat and it is always a good time. He is someone I can always count on to have my back.
Bridesmaid
Without a doubt my time at the Athens Y, Camp Kelly summer camp program was a large part of my life. I am so grateful to have gotten to spend many, MANY summers working alongside Courtney. She is a steadfast friend and always down for my shenanigans both then and now.
Groomsman
Kurt is my go-to on all things anime and video games. We also share an appreciation for those movies that are so bad; they are good. He is down to fight for change in the world, party like it's the end of the world, and everything in between. I can't wait to watch him in a Godzilla premiere once acting takes off.
