Walk along the Inner Harbor before heading into the National Aquarium, one of the most distinct buildings of the Baltimore skyline.
Located along the southside of the Inner Harbor, this museum is known for its unique artwork - inside and outside the building.
One of our favorite breweries in the city, located on part of the land from old Oriole Park. Peabody has great beer, now hosts Charm City Meadworks (our favorite mead!), and also has separate rooms for pinball and for arcade games.
Located on the South Baltimore peninsula (where we live), Fort McHenry is one of the most prominent early American landmarks. Visit to hear all about the War of 1812 and how the words of the Star Spangled Banner were written right off the coast. (Tip: if the timing is right, you might also be able to visit all of the cherry blossom trees along the shoreline!)
Like some of our photos on our site? These were all taken walking in the neighborhood of Mt Vernon and in The Walters Art Museum! This museum is free to enter, and located right near our hotel block.
This restaurant in the Station North neighborhood is a perfect example of Baltimore quirkiness. They've got great food, good drinks, and Alex's favorite 1960's-dystopian-themed sitting room.
Any of the markets throughout the city are great spots to stop into if you are looking for a bite to eat with many choices (Cross Street Market is our local one we frequent a lot). But Lexington Market is the largest one and was completely redone in the last few years.
Rawlings Conservatory & Botanic Gardens is owned by the city and is free to visit (donations requested). These beautiful greenhouses host a variety of different plants, trees, etc. -- both native and exotic.
Shop through aisles of vinyl records, and then stop next door for a bite of our favorite arepas.
La Maison is the new, second location of Cafe Dear Leon - one of the best bakeries/cafes in the city. Stop by to try their viral crab dip bagel, one of their classic pastries, or the tamago or crab tomago sandwiches (our personal favorite!). They have a strict bake schedule through the morning and change the menu every month. So check their site out to see their current offerings!
Another great Baltimore brewery, which happens to be right across I-83 from our wedding venue. Union is probably the largest and most well-known brewery from the city. They have plenty of space to sit both inside and outside, and also have an onsite kitchen. If you have a bit of a sweet tooth, The Charmery ice cream shop is located right next door.
Swing by No Land Beyond and browse through their library of board games available to play. Now in their new location (an old funeral parlor), they also serve food, cocktails, and other beverages.
No Baltimore list is complete without mentioning Camden Yards! The O's will be in town and we've got a LARGE group of us attending the Sunday game against the Red Sox to continue celebrating our wedding. If you haven't already spoken to us about joining our group, feel free to reach out to either Alex or Jessy and we can try to grab you a seat in our section!
