We are celebrating at the Mattress Factory Contemporary Art Museum in Pittsburgh's Northside. Please note that this is *NOT* "The Original Mattress Factory" (which is an actual mattress store).
FUNKY FORMAL: Formal attire with a whimsical, expressive twist. Bold colors, artistic details, and personality encouraged. Kindly avoid white or pink.
We'll be celebrating cocktail-style in lieu of a traditional seated dinner. We'll have passed hors d'oeuvres at the cocktail hour and a tapas buffet during the reception. The menu will be primarily vegetarian, with a few fish dishes. If you have dietary restrictions or allergies, please let us know in your RSVP! There won't be a formal seating chart, but there will be ample seating available throughout the space.
Since we have limited space, only the children whose names are specifically listed on your invitation are invited. If your child's name does not appear on the invitation, we kindly ask that you make other arrangements for the evening. Thank you for understanding!
Please note that only the guests whose names appear on your invitation are invited.
Here is the schedule. All of the events will take place at the Mattress Factory Contemporary Art Museum. 6pm Cocktail Hour 7pm Ceremony 7:30pm-11pm Reception Please arrive at least 15-20 minutes before the ceremony.
The museum has partnered with a nearby lot for additional parking at the corner of Jacksonia and Brighton Road for the duration of our event (1300 Brighton Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15212). We recommend carpooling or ridesharing if possible.
The ceremony will be outside and the reception will take place in the museum garden and lobby. There is some uneven ground so we recommend avoiding stiletto heels.
We will have a professional photographer on site to capture the day. We ask that you refrain from taking photos during the ceremony. We are so happy to share this special moment with you!
Yes! Our guests will have full, private access to the exhibits in the main building during the cocktail hour and reception.
Yes of course! The cookie table is a Pittsburgh wedding tradition where family and friends bring homemade cookies that are displayed on a big dessert table for everyone to enjoy (and take a few home). The tradition has roots in Pittsburgh's immigrant communities and is a special way for loved ones to be part of the celebration. You are NOT required to bake and bring cookies, but if you'd like to contribute, we'd love that! Just let us know.
