So after two years we have decided we should probably get this party started. We are going ahead with our party on July 23, 2022. We would love to have you, but we also understand if concerns about the pandemic keep you from being able to attend. It may not be a typical wedding, but we just want to take the opportunity to finally celebrate with everyone we love and hold dear. Please RSVP by June 23rd so we can plan accordingly. If you have any questions about RSVPing or the party please don't hesitate to reach out to Mark or Jessica.
The picture shown on this page (also on your invitations) is how Mark proposed. We had gone out for supper for my birthday and he was agitated that my birthday present hadn't shown up yet. I shrugged it off and said "It's not a big deal, we will get it when we get home." He seemed cranky during supper, but I just thought maybe he was feeling cranky. I didn't understand why he was so upset. After supper we get home and Mark gets the package with my birthday present and says he needs to wrap it. Our friend Matt decided to come over and hang out after supper as well. Mark brings me my present in an amazon box and kneels in front of me while I open it (I didn't realize he was kneeling as I was sitting on the couch). The first present in the box was a two pack of sensodyne toothpaste. Not even a flavor I like, odd, but ok. Next was a pack of 20-30 National Hockey League player cards from the 90s. He pulls them out and goes through each player one by one. At this point I am trying not to roll my eyes because I want to see what my present is, I told him that I wanted something from a specific etsy store so I wanted to see which one he gave me. After he goes through all of the cards he finally lets me open the last thing in the box, I unwrap and open it up and see the necklace, Mark says "Open it up!" - as I do I see it says "Marry Me?" on it and right away I ask "Is this for real?", I couldn't believe it and I thought for sure he was playing a trick. Matt hadn't seen what was on the necklace yet, so he was very confused and didn't know what was going on. It took me a minute to believe Mark, but when I did I said "Yes!".
