Dress Code?

Answer

Coastal Chic Attire Weather on the coast often changes. Be prepared for various weather events and temperatures. Pack an extra layer as the evenings cool down. Terrains include grass lawn, gravel beach, and wood deck. Flat shoes are highly recommended, and bare feet encouraged.

Transportation?

Answer

Rental cars are highly encouraged as rideshare is unavailable on the isle. Buses will be making loops to and from the wedding ceremony and reception to Blue Hill Inn, Stonington, and Pilgrims Inn.

Kiddos?

Answer

Children are welcome to all events Friday & Sunday. Saturdays festivities will be adult only. Aragosta is rugged, with open beachfront to the ocean, slippery rocks, cliffs, and a large wild forest preserve surrounding the area. Please keep safety in mind regarding any children’s attendance during the weekend.

Why Maine?

Answer

One of our favorite places in the world is Maine! Jack went to college at Bates, just a few hours West of Deer Isle. The Maritzes have a beautiful home in Blue Hill, which is now our favorite place to spend summertime. (Jack properly honeypotted Jessie by bringing her in the easy warmth and sunshine of summer rather than the depths of winter, which averages 60 inches of snow…) Our visits to Blue Hill are what first introduced us to Aragosta, and the beauty of Downeast Maine.
