June 7, 2013- Jessie and Steve met through mutual friends on a trip to Las Vegas. September 11, 2013- They went wine tasting at Napa Valley for their first date. November 11, 2013- Steve took Jessie to lunch at Woodranch BBQ & Grill and they made it official.

For Steve's birthday they decide to go hiking at Crystal Cove State Beach for their annual birthday tradition. As they were finishing their hike, Steve takes Jessie down to the tide pools. Steve leads Jessie down by the water, kneels and proposes.
