FAQs

Question

How will I get to the wedding venue?

Answer

We will provide round-trip transportation from the Residence Inn and the Sage hotels on our wedding day from the Sage and Residence Inn. You are also welcome to rent a car. Uber/Lyft to and from the wedding venue is unlikely to be possible given the remote location, and festival weekend in town.

Question

Is there a dress code for the wedding?

Answer

High desert cocktail attire will fit the vibe. Sun hats and bolo ties are encouraged. Stilettos are strongly discouraged - opt for shoes appropriate for gravel, dirt, and grass. The entire event is outdoors 7000 ft above sea level. The temperature drops approximately 20 degrees when the sun goes down, so bring layers. Monsoons are always possible. Bring your sunblock and sunglasses!!

Question

What is Indian Market weekend?

Answer

Our wedding weekend coincides with the annual Santa Fe Indian Market, one of the largest and most celebrated Native American art markets in the world. The city will be especially vibrant, with visitors traveling in from across the country. Because of this, hotels and accommodations book up very quickly. We strongly recommend reserving your lodging as early as possible to ensure availability.

Question

What's it like at 7000 feet?

Answer

The sun is powerful, and the air is thin. This means in the sun, it's hot and sunburns happen fast. In the shade and at night it can be significantly colder. It is hard to breathe if you are not used to the altitude; acclimatization can take several weeks. Also you get drunk faster. Sunscreen, layers, hat, sunglasses, chapstick, and water bottles are essential.
