FAQs

The Wedding Website of Parker Semin and Jessie Longe
Question

What weather should I expect?

Answer

Mountain weather can be unpredictable — it might be sunny, breezy, or even sprinkle for a few minutes. Days are usually sunny and in the 60s–70s, with cooler evenings in the 40s. The weather can change quickly, so plan on layers, a light jacket, and sunscreen. You're welcome to bring a 'bag of possibilities' to stash at the venue so you can adjust as needed to feel comfortable and fabulous.

Question

What’s the altitude? Should I prepare for it?

Answer

The venue sits at around 8,000 feet, so the air is thinner than at sea level. Stay hydrated, take it easy if you’re coming from lower elevation, and limit alcohol your first day if you’re sensitive to altitude. (Also, sunscreen is your best friend — the mountain sun is strong!)

Question

Will there be transportation?

Answer

Yes, shuttles will run between the lodging and venue before and after the event. Parking will also be available at the venue and you can leave your car overnight if you pick it up before 8am the following day. NOTE: there are no Uber/Lyft options in Buena Vista. Let our shuttle make this easy for you!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Cocktail or garden attire - wear something that makes you feel fabulous, comfortable, and ready to dance! Pack sunglasses, layers for when the unpredictable weather, and we highly encourage packing a little costume 'flare' for the disco lights spin!

Question

Is the ceremony outdoors?

Answer

Yes! Our ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside with views of the mountains. The reception will be indoors.
