Jessie and Nick met almost 6 years ago at a rooftop bar in Charlotte, NC. It was a spur of the moment Thursday night out with mutual friends. Jessie’s roommate suggested going to happy hour after work to meet up with a guy, aka she needed a wing-woman. Little did they know, that guy brought along a wing-man, who ended up being Nick! Jessie immediately asked who the cute blonde was when she saw him. Her friend said “Oh, that’s just Nick. We went to high school together.” Jessie thought Nick was super cute, and after a few drinks, she mustered up the courage to tell him that! He smiled and they exchanged numbers. The rest was history!

Nick proposed to Jessie in Uptown Charlotte at a new rooftop bar with a gorgeous skyline view. He planned the whole surprise by telling Jessie they were going to dinner to celebrate his brothers birthday... Earlier that week, Nick’s sister-in-law threw out the idea of going to a fun uptown bar near the restaurant before dinner for a cocktail. Obviously, Jessie said heck yes that sounds so fun! The day finally arrived, and Nick barely spoke to Jessie because he claims he was so nervous! They arrived to the rooftop bar, and the manager was standing outside ready to greet them. (Still, she was clueless…) The manager personally took them up in the elevator and walked them past the hostess into the bar. The manager told them to go check out the beautiful view, being the only ones on the entire rooftop. As Jessie started to take in the skyline view, she hears “click click” from a camera. She turned around to see Nick down on one knee holding a ring. Jessie started jumping up and down screaming like a kid on Christmas! Nick pointed out the rooftop they met at almost 6 years ago was about 100 yards away. She doesn’t remember anything else he said, just kept screaming at the fact that he pulled off this surprise. They spent the rest of the night celebrating with family and friends. It was definitely a night to remember!
