Below are some common questions we hope to answer in one place. If you have additional questions that are not answered below, please let us know.
Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Cocktail attire is requested for the wedding ceremony and reception. Please keep in mind that the ceremony and dinner will take place outdoors. Due to the terrain, block heels or wedges will be more comfortable than stiletto heels. Please wear whatever you are comfortable in for the welcome dinner on Friday and goodbye lunch and pool party on Sunday. Be sure to bring a swim suit on Sunday if you'd like to enjoy the pool!

How do we get there?

Answer

Please see our Travel page for a more detailed answer and all the logistics. You can fly into any airport in Italy, but the closest airports are Pisa, Florence, and Rome. We recommend picking whichever works best for your budget and desired exploring in Italy. You can then rent a car and drive (best for those who like easy access for day trips and wish to really explore Tuscany) or take the train to the nearest local train station. This option may work better if you intend to visit mostly large cities during your time in Italy and don't need a car. If traveling by train, you will need to arrange pick up and drop off with a transportation or taxi service ahead of time. While this is not necessary at major city train stations (Rome, Florence, etc.), the local train stations near our venue are much smaller and will not have taxis readily available outside. We hope that you are able to take advantage of the location and enjoy whatever parts of the region your heart desires before and after our wedding. If you need ideas, let us know!

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes. Please see the Accommodations page on our website for a list of nearby accommodations. 3 of these will be offering transport services on the wedding day. The rest will be appropriate for those renting a car. Additionally, we recommend looking on AirBnB for more affordable private accommodations in the area, as there are many options available.

Will transportation be provided to the venue?

Answer

On the wedding day (Saturday), we will offer a transportation service to and from the venue from 3 select accommodations nearby. Please see the accommodations page of our website for details on these locations. If you wish to utilize the transportation service, please stay at one of these 3 locations. Transportation service will not be provided for pre or post wedding events (Friday and Sunday). However, you are welcome to arrange your own by utilizing transport services listed on our travel page.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes. La Pescaia Resort has plenty of parking should you choose to rent a car and drive. This is the case for the pre and post wedding events in addition to the wedding day.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes. Please see our Schedule page for a detailed description. We will be having a Welcome Dinner on Friday evening and a Goodbye Pizza and Pool Party on Sunday afternoon. These events are optional, but we would love to have you there.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Your invitation will specify whether or not a plus one is included. We appreciate your respect of our limited ability to accommodate guests.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

If your invitation listed your child specifically, then they are welcome to attend our wedding and reception. Otherwise, we kindly request you not bring them.

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Please note that traveling to Italy to attend our wedding is more than enough. We understand the travel is costly and time consuming. As such, gifts are not expected. If you feel strongly about gifting, however, we are registered with Zola. Please see the Registry page on our website for more information.
