Lucas was two weeks into couch surfing, living out of his car after his sophomore year at KSU when alas, he moved into the Sandlot on 15th and rent was due. Better get a job. He buckled down and started searching when his buddy stopped thru and let him know he was recently fired from Manhattan Country Club. Lucas basically grew up at Salina Country Club and knew he would be a perfect fit for the job as a server and bar tender. Not to mention, FREE GOLF! He called the next day, filled out his application and was hired within the week. Little did he know he would meet Jessie Adams. Jessie remembers calling dibs on Lucas as soon as she met him. Lucas remembers thinking, free golf and cheap food. Anyway.... when Lucas was hired, their manager provided rigorous training for new employees and part of the training regimen was providing cocktail service for the group of cute waitresses; lucky Lucas served Jessie. From that moment, they existed as co-workers for a grueling two years. Darting eyes in the halls, exchanging looks as they served tables, awkward laughs setting tables and polishing silverware; the workplace environment drove coworkers nuts. WHY AREN'T THEY DATING!? Well, long story short..Lucas did not make it easy and in turn, Jessie followed suit. It was a tale of cat and mouse for the ages. Luckily, they both stopped faking it and on a ski lift in Breckenridge, Lucas informed Jessie that he was her man she was his girl. Ever since, they've been building a lifetime together.
