Jessie and Kevin met on Jessie's first day of work at NYU Stern Undergraduate College in July 2017. A couple years went by as coworkers and eventual friends, even when Jessie left NYU in 2019. When Jessie learned Kevin was in choir in high school, she convinced him to join the NYU Chorus with her in fall 2019, where they enjoyed singing together every week. When the pandemic started in March 2020, Jessie went with her parents in Nashville for a few months, and Kevin moved to Brooklyn, recently single. They kept in touch and started talking to each other more frequently and watched one of their favorite shows ("Taskmaster") together. This then turned into sharing their favorites, Jessie showed Kevin the 1995 "Pride and Prejudice" miniseries and Kevin showed Jessie all the "Star Wars" prequels. When Jessie moved back to New York in July 2020, their first in-person date was 11 hours! After a few months of dating and going to their families for a couple months for the holidays, they became "official" in January 2021 where Kevin asked Jessie to be his girlfriend in Prospect Park. They moved in together in July 2022 across the street from Prospect Park, where they love their home and their neighborhood. They proposed to each other in 2024, where Jessie had a scavenger hunt for Kevin in Prospect Park and proposed to him in the park where they become boyfriend and girlfriend. Kevin proposed to Jessie a few days later at her favorite place at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden.
