Jessie and Kai's story began in 2018 at the City of Jacksonville Ocean Rescue, where they were both employed. Although their relationship did not begin until 2020, once it did, they became inseparable. From game nights in Jessie's college apartment to quarantining together, the early months of their relationship were truly unforgettable. Although they were practically living together already, Jessie and Kai signed their first apartment lease in the summer of 2021. They since have moved four times and now prepare to buy their first home together. During that summer, while visiting Turtle Bay with the Hunter family, Kai and his dad, Michael, checked out a surf break near Kuilima Point lawn. Kai told his dad he would marry Jessie on this point someday. Oahu has always held a special place in their hearts since they spent their very first trip together there. So, they have decided to return this November with friends and family to say I do. Throughout their relationship, Jessie and Kai have shared numerous adventures, traveling to destinations that include the Bahamas, Hawaii, the British Virgin Islands, Alaska and France. Flying airplanes and skydiving are two of their favorite experiences they've shared together. Jessie and Kai are always seeking their next adventure and they are excited for what the future holds. Their lives have intertwined seamlessly, with both of them deeply cherishing each others families and friends. Kai has been unwavering in his support of Jessie's goals, while Jessie has been equally supportive of Kai's career aspirations. They continue to push each other to be better everyday, constantly encouraging one another to reach new heights in their personal and professional lives. Already raising Whinnie, an older dog that Jessie took in when her grandmother passed, they adopted a puppy, Sawyer, in 2023. Raising their fur babies together has further strengthened their bond. Whinnie and Sawyer keep their lives interesting with their playful antics and boundless energy. In 2024, Kai proposed to Jessie at The Baths in Virgin Gorda, and they celebrated their engagement with close friends in Tortola. Now, they are eagerly anticipating their marriage and are excited to embark on this next chapter.
