Long Lake is a very small town about 45 minutes away.
There will be an attendant at the first gate to let you in during the specified times. From there follow signs.
We'd prefer not to have people arrive on Saturday, as the family will be busy getting ready and won't have time to let you into the Park at the gate. However, we might be able to make exceptions for those truly unable to arrive Friday. Please let us know in advance if you need a late arrival.
This is similar to an AirBnb kind of situation. You will have a private room in a camp with one of the Potter relatives, or you will be glamping. You'll be notified of your housing arrangements before you get there :)
A list of group meal times and locations will be given to you when you arrive. We encourage people to bring some of their own food as well. The weekend is BYOB other than the wedding night and the welcome dinner.
Yes. Don't expect to use your cell phone for anything but pictures. There is a landline in each camp for emergencies.
Other than wedding attire, bring casual clothes and good hiking shoes. We don't recommend stiletto heals. The temperature this time of the year is unpredictable. So bring a jacket, but also a swimsuit. Don't pack electronic hair products. Bring bug spray, battery powered phone charger, and a flashlight.
The nearest doctor is over 45 minutes away and is not available after hours. This is not a place to use bad judgement. The nearest drug store is an hour and ten minutes away so bring all your meds!
