Flight
PDX is the largest and nearest airport to Hood River. It's about an hour's drive away via I-84, alongside the Columbia River with beautiful views of the gorge. Other transportation options from the airport to Hood River include bus, train, and taxi.
Train
If you'd like more scenic transport from PDX to Hood River, Amtrak is a great and low-cost option! The stops would be from the Portland Airport Union Station (PDX) to Bingen-White Salmon, WA (BNG). Trips start at just $6 each way and take about 2 hours from the airport to your destination.

There are plenty of Airbnb and VRBO options near Hood River! This is a popular vacation area, so if booking an Airbnb, make your reservations as soon as possible. Please also note that if you book across the river, there is a toll bridge that charges $3.50 each way.
