My roommates and I all threw a New Years Eve Party in our apartment. Connor had apparently seen me at a previous party we had thrown and was excited to see me again. That evening, after walking into our apartment he walked up to me with his brother Colin and said “Hi, I’m Connor, and this is my younger but taller brother Colin”. To say the least I didnt give him the time of day, but Connor didnt give up. He continued to hit on me when he could for the rest of the night until he eventually told me “I love you”. I was shocked, but not impressed. But Connor didnt give up! Connor then spent the next 6 weeks spending time becoming friends with my best friends and roommates to try to get them to help him get a date with me. Luckily it worked! My roommates convinced me, saying how sweet he was and how I just had to give him a chance. They were so right, by the end of the first date I knew he was the one. :)
On Connors birthday we woke up to go to an early brunch. We were going to Hampton Social because we adore their seafood. We got to the restaurant and got a cocktail and ordered appetizers, nothing special. But after our first drink Connor said he wanted to get something fancy, and ordered a nice bottle of rose. The waiter asked if we were celebrating anything and I simply said “His birthday!”. The bottle was popped, the rose poured and instead of saying “cheers” Connor reached in his pocket and said “Dont scream” with a smirk as he pulled out a ring and asked me to marry him. Little did I know, he had a surprise engagement shower planned with some of our close friends and family in just a little bit! :)
