The Fine Print

The Wedding Website of Jessie Walker and Christian Taylor
Below are a few common questions answered, but don't hesitate to reach out to the bride or groom before the wedding week if you have any other questions. We love living in Austin and want to make your stay here as memorable as possible!
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by September 1st to allow for accurate headcount for our venues.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Check out my Pinterest board below for outfit inspiration of sundresses and linens in fall colors! If you know us, you know we believe in comfort above all else. Expect to dress for warm weather with a potential for a light jacket in the evening (but unlikely). šŸ“Œ šŸ’ƒ My Pinterest board for outfit inspo: https://pin.it/VOxp3pJwf

Question

Can I bring a date or my child?

Answer

As much as we'd love to include everyone, wedding ceremony and reception invites are only extended to named guests and do not include plus ones or children. Children of guests may attend the welcome party, please just advise the bride & groom for accurate headcounts.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

October is a BUSY time of month in Austin between ACL and F1, so we recommend you book accommodations early. As the majority of guests are local, we don't have a hotel block, but highly encourage you to book an AirBnB or hotel in the East Side of Austin (the best side!), or downtown/Clarksville neighborhoods for proximity to wedding weekend events.

Question

Is there free parking for each event?

Answer

If you're going to drink, we recommend you use a ride-share service like Lyft or Uber! Batch Craft Beer and Kolaches has easy free parking in their lot and nearby streets. Walsh Landing is more limited so we highly recommend you carpool if driving. There are several paid lots nearby, as well as free street parking several blocks away if you're willing to walk. Mean Eyed Cat has limited parking and is typically paid street parking downtown.

Question

What happens if it rains?

Answer

We intentionally picked one of the driest times of the year in hopes we avoid this for the ceremony. If something catastrophic occurs, we plan to postpone the ceremony until Sunday morning (October 18), but will continue with all other events as planned. Please keep this in mind when booking travel if you are a "plan for the worst" kind of person.

Question

Will there be vegetarian options available?

Answer

Of course, say less!
