The countdown to Forever begins

We met in high school — senior year, same class, same row, same seat. We were always paired together for projects and school activities. He was the guy everyone liked instantly — super makulit, naturally friendly, always knew what to say. Meanwhile, I was the maldita one — quiet, guarded, with a strong personality and walls so high, even I didn’t know how to bring them down. But somehow, he did. Something light and sweet started between us in December 2012. It wasn’t perfect — we were young and unsure, and life had different plans for us after graduation. We went to different colleges, met different people, tried to move forward. But no matter how far we drifted, we always ended up finding our way back to each other. In December 2015, we decided to try again — older, a little wiser, and with hearts that knew what they wanted. Since then, we’ve never let go. There’s no specific moment when he told me I was the one. But looking back, I realize he’s always shown it. In the way he never gave up on me. In the way he had patience for my stubborn streaks and the days when I wasn’t the easiest to love, understood my moods, and loved me anyway — always, without conditions. And I knew I loved him deeply when I started praying for him — not just for “us,” but for him. For his peace, his strength, his dreams, and a future that I hoped would include me in it. On December 19, 2022, he got down on one knee and asked me to be his forever. And I said yes to the one person who’s always felt like home. Now, we’re counting down to December 12, 2025 — our wedding day. It still feels surreal sometimes. From being seatmates, to growing into soulmates… this love was slow, steady, sometimes chaotic, but always real. Ours wasn’t the fairytale that happened all at once. It’s the kind that quietly grew through time, distance, laughter, tears, and everything in between. And now, here we are — choosing forever, hand in hand.
