It was a Friday. It was 2nd semester, freshman year in college - 10 years ago. Our dance team was having it's first social, and our dance director first introduced me to this guy named Brendan. My first impression while shaking his hand was ""Why is this guy's hands so big???"", but literally 5 minutes into talking to him, I knew that this friendship would go a long way. We've lived together, traveled 5 countries and now I'm honored to be one of his goonsman. No, thats not a typo.

Hi! I'm Karina. It's been ten years since meeting Jess and Brendan in college, and ten years of having the joy of their friendship! Jess was and continues to be a warm welcome into adulthood, and has been one of my most consistent and intentional friends. She's credited with many of college's most silly and exhilarating memories, pulling delirious and giggle-filled all-nighters, and long talks in working life of what it means to be a friend. Jess and I met just under two years ago in the most us way possible - at our local dog park. I looked over and saw Holly, a petite, beautiful golden retriever who looked just like my girl Penny, and the rest is history. From that day on, our weeknights were spent at the park while the girls ran the show, and our weekends were filled with hikes, yummy dinners, and taste-testing every matcha spot we could find. I’m so grateful our pups brought us together and that we found the sweetest friends in Jess, Brendan, and of course my second daughter, Miss Holly 🐾💛
