It all started in July 2020, when Zach and Jessica’s paths crossed in the most unexpected and perfect way. Zach’s best friend from college, Tyler Witte (co-best man), was dating one of Jessica’s best friends from high school, Gabby Witte (Bridesmaid), and they decided to bring their friend groups together in Bend, Oregon, to celebrate the Fourth of July. Zach drove up from his hometown Kelsey, CA, and Jessica made her way from Scottsdale, AZ, where she was living at the time. As cliché as it may sound, it was love at first sight. From the moment they met that weekend, Zach and Jessica felt an undeniable connection that hasn’t stopped growing. They spent the weekend laughing, talking, and discovering how much they had in common. Since then, they haven't gone a day without speaking to each other and quickly formed a deep bond. After a year of navigating a long-distance relationship—Zach in California and Jessica in Arizona—Zach made the move to Scottsdale to be with Jessica. It wasn’t long before they added a new member to their team, a sweet dog named Bunker (who will be making a special appearance at the wedding!). Together, they enjoyed the sunny Arizona weather, played countless rounds of golf, and spent weekends discovering new places. After a year in Scottsdale, they decided it was time to return home to be closer to family. What’s even more special is Jessica grew up in El Dorado Hills, only 30 minutes away from Zach’s hometown—making their decision to move even more meaningful, as they both set roots near their families and look forward to starting their own. On June 14th, 2024, during a scenic walk with Bunker in Lake Tahoe, Zach proposed to Jessica in the most memorable way. Surrounded by breathtaking views, they began the next chapter of their love story—one filled with happiness, laughter and endless adventure.
