Their first encounter was at the Roseville Seventh-Day Adventist church. Yrvin noticed Jess, and Jess noticed Yrvin noticing her, but not much came from that encounter until a few months later....It was at a yearly camping trip with friends, far and near, in beautiful Yosemite, that the spark between both of them...well, sparked. Yrvin pursued, and Jess gave way. I mean, who wouldn't with persistence, charm, and gentle love?
With days turning into months and months into years, Yrvin and Jess have been on a plethora of adventures. From what now has become a lifetime of treasured moments like their trips to Oklahoma, SLO, SoCal, Lake Tahoe, escapes to the Bay, the Zoo(both love animals....a little too much), museums, weekend trips with friends, coastal sunset views, spontaneous hiking, cozy evenings with hot chocolate & delicious meals(Yrvin cooks good, y'all!!...and Jess too, when she doesn't oversalt the food..ha ha) to building legos and minature houses together(yep, kids at heart!). It was these many wonderful experiences that God blessed them with a flourishing, beautiful love for each other. The more time they spent together, the more they both knew they could not be apart. But it wasn't just these memorable adventures that grew their love for each other. It was the moments of prayer, evening worship, going to church hand in hand & heart with heart, having those uplifting conversations about what they had learned from God's Word, and putting Him at the center of everything that made their love flourish. It was God who, even when moments of difficulty arose, like in every relationship, brought them back together, stronger, wiser, with more understanding, compassion, patience, and, of course, love toward each other. It was God who taught them that to maintain a successful relationship and have the assurance that, although difficulties would arise, if they kept Him at the center, honoring Him with purity and faithfulness, He would provide them with just that: a successful union and a love that would last forever. They learned that God must be at the center if they want success. He must be the firm foundation, the Rock on which they stand. The only "3rd Wheel" that's acceptable and happily welcomed 😊 "But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you" Matthew 6:33
The question may be, what do Yrvin and Jess plan to do once married, or what will their life together entail? The simple answer is this: We plan to love each other always & forever, and to honor God in everything we do. We understand that marriage isn't always easy, that trials will come along the way, but we know this: that as long as we keep God at the center, our love for one another will never diminish but only grow stronger through rain or shine, highs or lows. We can’t wait to say, “I do” “Adventure is out there!” -UP🎈
